Please join SMLC in welcoming ReNeé Pelicano to the office staff as our new Executive Assistant!
Mrs. Pelicano and her family relocated to Tennessee in 2010 from Columbus, Ohio, where she enjoyed homeschooling her two daughters; serving as Director of Religious Education for her parish; coordinating the Pontifical College Josephinum’s Aposolic Works Project for the homeschooling community; and volunteering at the Jubilee Museum. Originally from New York, Mrs. Pelicano is a convert to Catholicism. In addition, she is the founder of Mother Pelican Press, a non-profit publishing company which to date has published two pro-life books, a papal coloring book, and a series of parish fundraising books. MPP donates 100% of its profits back to pro-life and priestly formation programs within the Church.
Mrs. Pelicano has been married to her husband Thomas for 29 years and they have two adult daughters. They are parishioners of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Athens, Tennessee, where they enjoy attending the Latin Mass.
As a recent cancer survivor, Mrs. Pelicano is grateful to have the opportunity to return to work through St. Mary’s Legacy Clinic and to share her heart for non-profit work along with her 30+ years of Executive Administrative experience. “I am grateful to use my experience and talents to serve the people of our Diocese and the Church as a whole.”
