Purpose & Impact of Position: Maintain and promote readiness/cleanliness of warehouse for patient and volunteer safety

Qualifications/Requirements: Flexible hours depending upon availability

Volunteer Work Location(s): On-site at warehouse

Position Details:

• Most important for every position is treating each person with dignity, respect, and compassion
• To schedule time, check the SMLC online schedule for when mobile unit is out of the garage
  • Select date and notify administrative office to confirm access
• Cleans and maintains warehouse facilities, including the following:
  • Spray for insects/spiders
  • Non-mobile unit areas:
    • Sweep and mop floors, including main area, restroom, and supply room
    • Clean/disinfect restroom
    • Clean windows
    • Vacuum chairs/tables
  •  Mobile unit parking area:
    • Sweep floor (quarterly floors are washed to remove oil and dirt)
• At end of shift: 
  • Sign Volunteer Service Hours log and returns badge
  • Record note(s) in log, including any needed supplies 
  • Depose of trash in dumpster and recycling materials to recycle center
  • Lock building
